In these pottery bottles, the male genitalia have been anthropomorphized. The penis can be seen clutching the nose, and entering the female body via the vulva. In these examples, the interior of the female body is represented by the exterior of the piece, as can be observed in the detail added by the Mochica artists, who depicted the pubic hair of the female and the contact or pressure on this region produced by the testicles.
