In these bowls and bottles, the male genitalia are presented as the emitters of liquids, projecting their virility and fertilizing power. The liquid contained in these vessels could only be imbibed through pouring or drinking it via the penis.

The ability of the male body to inseminate is associated with power, as indicated by the relationship of these individuals with symbols of status and hierarchy, such as decorated garments and the throne-like seats used by the elite.
