In these sculptural bottles, cadaverous male figures wear headdresses and decorated tunics. In some cases they also wear the large ear ornaments that were indicative of high social status. Most of the figures are playing panpipes, an instrument that was played in pairs and was believed to facilitate contact between the different worlds.
